The Mudcats and Winston-Salem Dash meet up in a crucial three game series tonight at Five County Stadium. Carolina has won six straight games and enters tonight's game just 2.5 games back of the first place Dash in the second half standings. LHP Blair Walters starts tonight for the Mudcats and brings the league's second best earned run average to tonight's game. He is currently 5-4 with a 2.59 ERA over 22 games and 15 starts this season with Carolina. His 2.41 ERA as a starter this season is the 2nd lowest in the league since he made his first start on 5/6. Walters is 4-1 with a 1.62 ERA over 12 home games (eight starts) 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA over four games (three starts) against the Dash.
Tonight's game begins at 7:00 p.m. at Five County Stadium and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 6:45 p.m.
