
Rheaume, Mori Released From Tryouts

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released center Pascal Rheaume and forward John Mori from their professional tryout agreements, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Rheaume, 36, appeared in one game with the Monarchs and did not put a point on the scoreboard. He has 12 points (1-1112) and 15 penalty minutes in 24 games with the International Hockey League's Flint Generals this season. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound native of Quebec City, Quebec has 318 NHL games under his belt with the New Jersey Devils, the St. Louis Blues, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Atlanta Thrashers, the New York Rangers and the Phoenix Coyotes. In his 17th pro season in hockey, Rheaume has 91 NHL points (39-5291) and 144 penalty minutes in those 318 regular season games. He also has nine points (3-69) in 45 Stanley Cup playoff games. He's also played in 587 AHL regular season games and recorded 408 points (174-234408) and 482 penalty minutes.
Mori, 23, was held off the scoreboard in his one game with the Monarchs this season. He is in his rookie season and has skated in 24 games with the Generals where he ranks second on the roster in scoring with 15 points (8-715) and 19 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound native of Westport, Connecticut turned professional following four seasons at Providence College where he picked up nine points (2-79) and 30 penalty minutes in 64 games from 2005-09. Mori also played in four games with the IHL's Port Huron Icehawks following his senior season in Providence last year.
The Monarchs return to the Verizon Wireless Arena to host the Lowell Devils on Saturday, December 19 at 7:00 p.m. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Monarchs scarf. Also, bring a stuffed animal to throw onto the ice for the Teddy Bear Toss in the second intermission.
