Rivermen Sink Heat

Abbotsford Heat News Release


Abbotsford BC - Bryce Lampman scored his second goal of the game at 18:58 of the third period to lift the Peoria Rivermen to a 4-3 victory over the Abbotsford Heat, in AHL action at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre.

The Rivermen kyboshed an Abbotsford third-period comeback bid with Lampmans's sixth goal of the season after the Heat had tied the game 3-3 with 2:04 remaining in the third. Aaron Palusha and Lars Eller also scored for the Rivermen. Cam Cunning, Mikeal Backlund and Jason Jaffray scored for the Heat.

The same two teams square off Sunday at 6:00 pm at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Center.

Sunday marks the Inaugural Teddy Bear Toss Night at a Heat home game! Bring a teddy bear in good condition or purchase a bear for $5.00 on the concourse. Once the Heat score their first goal, fans can launch the bears onto the ice. All bears collected will go to the Abbotsford Christmas Bureau. All fans who donate a minimum of 3 bears will receive one free ticket voucher to a future home game (quantities limited and subject to conditions on voucher).
