Canucks Re-Assign Michael Grabner To Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have re-assigned forward Michael Grabner to the Moose.

Grabner, 22, played in nine games with the Canucks after his recall to Vancouver on Oct. 14/09. In that span, he recorded five points (2g & 3a) and six penalty minutes before suffering a lower body injury on Nov. 1/09. He started the season with five games in Manitoba where he collected six points (4g & 2a) along with two penalty minutes.

Last season, the Villach, Austria native appeared in 66 games with the Moose where he scored 48 points (30g & 18a) and collected 20 minutes for his best AHL season so far. Over the span of his career, Grabner has played in 147 Moose games were he has amassed 100 points (57g & 43a) and 30 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted in the first round, 14th overall, by Vancouver in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
