El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

Franmil Reyes hit two home runs in the El Paso Chihuahuas' 4-3 loss to the Reno Aces Wednesday afternoon. It was the first multi-homer game by a Chihuahuas player this year and the first since Tony Cruz hit two longballs for El Paso against Fresno on August 29, 2017. Reyes has four home runs in seven games versus Reno this year.

The Aces bullpen held off the Chihuahuas late, retiring the final 11 batters of the game. Former Chihuahua Cody Decker went 2-for-3 with a walk and a triple and has collected hits in each of the first three games of the series for Reno.

Wednesday was only the second time this year the Chihuahuas lost after scoring the first run of a game, compared to 10 wins when they score first. Wednesday was also the fifth game out of eight on this homestand that was decided by two runs or less.
