OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Reno Aces put an end to their five-game skid on Friday, exploding for seven runs by the end of the fourth inning in what finished as a 7-6 victory over the Oklahoma City Comets.

It was the Aces (23-26) that broke through onto the scoreboard first, marking the first time since May 12 in which Reno notched the game's first tally. Just when it seemed two strikeouts would bring to an end a frame in which the Aces had a pair of runners on, a Tommy Troy single through to right field snapped the game's scoreless tie.

Just one batter later and Luis Urías made his presence known, returning from a game off with a bang by crushing a three-run homer out to left field on the first pitch he saw.

A response from the Comets (27-21) came in the bottom of the frame, plating a single run on an RBI single from Zach Ehrhard. Oklahoma City then pulled within one when Tyler Fitzgerald launched a two-run blast in the third.

Reno was undeterred, adding back onto their lead with three more runs in the fourth. It took little time as Troy, who also made his return to the lineup after missing the past two games, turned an 0-1 pitch into a solo shot out to left-center field.

A walk to Urías and a LuJames Groover double put two in scoring position for Tyler Locklear, who delivered an RBI single up the middle to score Urías. Groover crossed the plate later on an RBI groundout from Luken Baker.

Left-handed starter Kohl Drake exited after 3.2 frames, allowing three runs on three hits with five strikeouts. The Reno bullpen did not allow an earned run, though errors did allow two runs to score in the sixth and one more in the seventh, once again returning the score to a single run.

Entering in the eighth and logging a four-out save was Drey Jameson (S, 5), as he struck out one without a hit allowed to convert his fifth save in as many chances. That preserved the victory for Gerardo Carrillo (W, 5-3), who worked the 1.2 frames following Drake's exit and yielded a single unearned run on no hits with one walk and two strikeouts.

All three of the top spots in the order registered two hits in Troy, Urías and Groover. Troy and Urías both homered and scored two runs, though the latter had three RBI to the two of Troy. For Groover, he scored once and doubled while also drawing a walk.

The Aces will look to keep up the momentum of tonight's win in game five of the series on Saturday, which gets underway from Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark at 4:05 p.m. PT.
