Abercrombie broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth, smashing a two-run home run off Braves reliever Ray Aguilar (0-2) which sailed into the packed left field berm area. It was the second of two home runs for Abercrombie, who put the Suns ahead 2-1 with a solo shot in the fourth inning.
Suns starter Heath Totten pitched 7-2/3 innings, allowing home runs to James Jurries and Pete Orr. He left the game tied 3-3. Reliever Jose Diaz (1-0) earned the win while closer Jason Frasor retired the final two batters to earn his fifth save in as many opportunities.
