TONIGHT: An 8-game swing through the Pacific North Division continues with the first of 4 in Colorado Springs. The RedHawks won last night 5-2 behind 6 shutout innings from starter Derek Holland to split the series in Salt Lake. OKC leads the American South Division by 3 games over Albuquerque and 4 over New Orleans. Last year, the Sky Sox swept OKC at The Brick in a 4-game set that began with a no-hitter shared among 4 Sox pitchers. OKC took 3 out of 4 from the Sky Sox in the last meeting at Security Service Field in July, 2008.

DAVIS AT 14: Chris Davis has hit safely in all 6 games since being optioned by Texas July 30, going 8-for-20 with 7 RBIs, 5 walks and 7 runs in that time. Dating to his previous OKC stint, Davis owns a personal season-high 14-game hitting streak, during which he's 25-for-56 (.446) with 2 homers and 18 RBIs. Davis is second in the PCL in hitting (.357) and seventh in on-base percentage (.412).

BOGGS STREAKING: Brandon Boggs drove in a run in each of the 4 games in Salt Lake and went 7-for-16 with a homer and 7 RBIs in the series. He has 11 RBIs in his last 8 games. Boggs has reached base by hit or walk in 59 of his last 60 starts beginning May 24, the only breaks in the streak being an 0-for-4 on Tuesday and a strikeout as a pinch hitter June 19. Boggs is third in the league in walks with 70 and eighth in on-base percentage at .407. He has reached base by hit or walk in 21 consecutive road games.

BROWN LIKES THE ROAD: Matt Brown extended his road on-base streak to 20 games last night with a hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded. Brown is batting .330 (35-for-106) on the road with 6 homers and 12 RBIs. At home, Brown is hitting .265 (27-for-102) with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs. He tripled twice on Thursday, becoming the first RedHawk to triple twice in a game since Ruben Rivera on June 15, 2002 at The Brick against Memphis. Brown has hit safely in 19 of his last 22 games, during which he's batting .326 (28-for-86) with 3 homers and 14 RBIs.

NO SMALL FEAT: Gregorio Petit hit safely in all 4 games in Salt Lake, going 8-for-15 with a double and 2 RBIs.

TWO-OUT UPDATE: In 25 games since the All-Star break RedHawks pitching has allowed 131 runs, 59 with 2 outs in an inning (45.0 %). OKC is 11-14 since the break. For the season, 189 of OKC's 499 runs allowed (37.9 %) have been with 2 outs.

ODDS AND ENDS: Seven of OKC's 13 active pitchers are members of Texas' 40-man roster, including the entire starting rotation...righthander Brandon McCarthy is on the trip, but has not pitched since June 19 because of right shoulder inflammation...on July 29, he was activated from OKC's DL, recalled and placed on the Rangers' 60-day DL...McCarthy has spent 3 stints on the DL, the last 2 for inflammation and the first for a stress reaction in his right shoulder blade...OKC has the league's lowest ERA, 3.83, and has allowed the second-fewest runs (499) behind Iowa's 493...Chad Tracy, son of Rockies' manager Jim, has resumed baseball activities in Surprise, Ariz., rehabbing a strained left oblique...Tracy leads OKC with 17 home runs...he has been on the DL since July 8.
