Scott Cousins picked up three hits and four RBI as the Zephyrs won their second consecutive game and defeated Salt Lake 12-8. The Z's offense pounded out 17 hits in the game. The Z's jumped on the Bees early as Cousins led the game off with a single and Cameron Maybin blasted a home run to give the Z's a 2-0 lead. Adalberto Mendez pitched six innings and earned the win. The Z's held off a few rallies from Salt Lake as the Bees got within a run in the eighth inning. The Zephyrs scored three runs in the top of the ninth and Dan Meyer pitched two scoreless innings for the save. Mike Lamb had four hits in six at bats and scored three runs for the Z's.

Game Notes: The Z's have pounded out 32 hits and 23 runs in the last two games. Cameron Maybin improved his hit streak to eight games and has at least one RBI in all 8 games. Lamb has ten hits in 19 at bats on the trip and has scored 7 runs and 6RBI. The Z's are still in the pennant race as New Orleans is 4 games back of first place Oklahoma City with 28 games to play.
