Tonight's Game-- The RedHawks will look to shake off yesterday's shutout when they face the Express at 7:05 p.m. Austin resident Armando Galarraga will make his second start for the RedHawks.

Last Night-- Martin Perez allowed one hit over seven scoreless innings and for the second time in three games, the RedHawks were shutout, falling 2-0 to the Express. Perez (4-5) threw 101 pitches and tied a season high with seven innings, earning his first win since May 7. The only hit he allowed was a leadoff double to Brandon Barnes in the third inning. Despite walking five hitters, Perez limited the RedHawks to an 0-for-7 mark with runners on base. He retired his final 11 batters and struck out five. With two outs in the first inning, Joey Butler and Yangervis Solarte delivered back-to-back RBI singles. Making his first road start with the RedHawks, Brian Bass (1-1) held the Express scoreless over the next five innings to keep the RedHawks close. He allowed nine hits and four walks while pitching his second quality start. Mike Hessman and Brad Snyder both singled to lead off the ninth to put the tying runners on base, but Mark Hamburger retired the next three hitters to earn his second save.

Tonight's Probable Pitchers-- Armando Galarraga makes his second start since joining the RedHawks...On Monday in New Orleans, Galarraga was limited to 57 pitches, tossing 4.2 scoreless innings...Oddly enough, the only two hits he allowed were to opposing pitcher Tom Koehler...He signed with the Astros on May 21 and appeared in a tune-up with Low-A Lexington on June 6 before joining the RedHawks...Over five Major League seasons spent with the Rangers, Tigers, and Diamondbacks, Galarraga is 26-30 with a 4.69 ERA in 95 appearances (86 starts)...He previously pitched for the RedHawks in 2007 when the team was affiliated with Texas, going 2-2 in four starts with a 4.74 ERA...Round Rock pitcher Zach Jackson will look to rebound after a tough outing in Albuquerque...On Monday, Jackson surrendered 11 runs and 15 hits over 6.1 innings...Jackson is 1-5 over his last eight starts and has just two wins for the season, one year after winning 13 games for the Express...The lefty is also winless at The Dell Diamond this season, going 0-5 with a 4.95 ERA in seven starts...Although he has not faced the RedHawks this season, Jackson went 2-0 with a 5.32 ERA over four games (three starts) against OKC in 2011.

Shutout Summary-- The RedHawks were shutout for the fourth time this season as well as for the second time in three games. In between the shutouts, the RedHawks scored 10 runs and collected 15 hits in Thursday's win. Prior to Wednesday, the RedHawks had been shutout twice all season and had not been blanked since April 30 in Albuquerque. All four shutouts have come on the road.

ROB'bing Themselves-- In the two recent shutouts, the RedHawks drew nine walks, but combined for just six hits. They went 1-for-24 with runners on base.

Super Snyder-- With a ninth-inning single last night, Brad Snyder extended his current hitting streak to 13 games--the best by a RedHawk this season. During the streak he is hitting .404 (19x47) with one home run and nine RBIs. He is also the only player in the PCL with double-digit stolen bases to have hit as many as nine HRs.

Friendly Family Feud-- Brad Snyder's younger brother, Ben, is a pitcher for the Express. After flying out Thursday night, Brad is 1-for-3 against Ben this season. The brothers from Bellevue, Ohio had never faced each other in an official game until April 26.

Barnes' Big Bat-- Since joining the RedHawks on May 27, Brandon Barnes has hit safely in 16 of 18 games to the tune of a .369 average. He is 4-for-8 with three extra-base hits since his 12-game hitting streak ended Wednesday.

Scotty Knows-- Although he was hitless yesterday, Scott Moore is still 11-for-24 with 10 RBIs in six games against Round Rock this season. He is one of five players in the PCL with at least 50 RBIs and ranks second in the league with 23 doubles. Last season with Iowa, Moore collected 53 RBIs and had 19 doubles over 123 games.

Streaky Jimmy-- Jimmy Paredes has had an up-and-down last seven games. He's collected three hits or more in a game four times--with four hits each in three games--but has been held hitless in the other three games.

Walking Toward Danger?-- The RedHawks pitching staff has been one of the best in the league throughout the entire season at preventing walks until recently. Over the last nine games, the RedHawks have racked up 49 walks, with at least five in a game six times. Their strikeout-to-walk ratio during this time has been 58/49 and they have walked more than they have struck out four times in the last five games.

So The Pitcher Doesn't Bat?-- The RedHawks are playing a series against an American League affiliate for the first time in over a month. They are 5-8 in games with a DH, and the DH's are hitting a combined .224 but have driven in 13 runs in 13 games.

Against the Express-- The RedHawks have won four of six so far against the Express...After hitting .365 with 44 runs over the first five games, the RedHawks were limited to no runs and four hits yesterday...J.B. Shuck is 10-for-18 and went 5-for-5 in OKC back on April 28...Last season the Express won 10 of 16, but the RedHawks went 5-3 at The Dell Diamond... From 1983-2010, the Oklahoma City franchise was affiliated with the Texas Rangers, and from 2000-2010, Round Rock served as an Astros' affiliate first for Double-A, then Triple-A beginning in 2005.
