MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Tom Koehler pitched seven and two third innings allowed one hit, struckout ten batters and earned his seventh win of the season defeating Memphis 7-0. Koehler's lone hit was allowed with two outs in the seventh inning, a single from Jamie Romak. The combined one hit shutout for the Zephyrs was their league leading seventh shutout of the season.
The Zephyrs scored a pair of runs in the first inning off of starter Shelby Miller. The Z's added a run in the fourth inning to take a 3-0 lead. Matt Dominguez hammered a three run home run in the fifth inning to chase the starter. Miller pitched four and two third innings and suffered the defeat.
Gary Glover retired the final four batters in order to finish off the Redbirds.
