Iowa Activates Infielder Dewitt from D.L.

Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Cubs activated infielder Blake DeWitt from the disabled list today, and he is in Iowa's starting lineup against Albuquerque tonight.

The former first round draft pick suffered a sprained left wrist while diving for a ball in left field against Tacoma on May 24, and was placed on the disabled list the next day.

In four games with Iowa, DeWitt is hitting .231 (3-for-13) with one double and a RBI. DeWitt was hitting .138 (4-for-29) with one double and a RBI in 18 games with the Chicago Cubs this season, before being assigned to Iowa on May 18.

The Iowa Cubs host the Albuquerque Isotopes for game three of a four-game set tonight at Principal Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
