
RedHawks fall to I-Cubs

The Oklahoma RedHawks lost to the Iowa Cubs 3-2 Wednesday at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
Eric Patterson was two-for-three with an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases to lead the Cubs offensively. Three Cub relievers combined for three hit-less innings with one walk and two strikeouts.
The RedHawks were led by first baseman Randall Simon. He went one-for-three with two RBIs. Catcher Miguel Ojeda was two-for-four.
RedHawk starter John Rheinecker had his eighth straight quality start, going seven innings and giving up three runs, one earned on six hits with two walks and six strikeouts. However, Rheinecker lost his fourth straight start to fall to 4-5.
The RedHawks and Cubs will complete their four-game series at 7:05 p.m. Thursday at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. It is the last home game of the season for the RedHawks.
