HEADLINES: Dickey helps RedHawks to win ... Simon streak ends at 11 ... Guzman with 3 steals

TODAY'S OPPONENT: The Iowa Cubs are the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 1998. Last year, the Cubs were 64-75 and finished fourth in the PCL American Conference Northern Division.

TODAY'S GAME: The RedHawks continue their nine-game homestand against Iowa. It is their final homestand of the season. This is their 139th game, 71st home game and 15th game against Iowa. The RedHawks are on a stretch where they will play 21 of 29 games at home. They will finish the season with a four-game series at Albuquerque Sept. 1-4.

LAST GAME: The RedHawks held on for a 5-4 win over Iowa. The RedHawks took a 5-1 lead into the ninth, but saw Jeff Deardorff hit a three-run home run to bring Iowa within one. R.A. Dickey started for the RedHawks and went eight innings, giving up one run on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Jamie Burke was three-for-four with two RBIs to lead the RedHawks offensively.

VS. IOWA: The RedHawks are 51-57 all-time against Iowa and 26-26 against the Cubs at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The RedHawks won last year's season series with the Cubs, 9-7. It was their first season series win over the Cubs since 2001. They are 3-4-1 in season series with Iowa .

PITCHING MATCHUP: Starting pitcher John Rheinecker makes his 15th start of the season for the RedHawks. In his last three starts, Rheinecker is 0-3 with a 3.00 ERA (7 ER/21 IP), but has received three support runs in the his last three starts. In his previous three starts, he was 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER/23.1 IP) and received 16 support runs. His last seven starts have been quality starts. Wilton Chavez starts for Iowa .

SHUTOUTS: The RedHawks are tied for first in the PCL in shutouts with 12. Round Rock and Nashville also have 12. The 12 shutouts by the RedHawks is a club record. The RedHawks have also been shut out a club-record 10 times this season.

TEAM ERA: The RedHawks' team ERA is 3.80 (507 ER/1199.2 IP). The lowest team ERA in club history was 4.21 in 2003. The 2003 team finished eighth in the PCL in ERA. This year's team is currently third.

AUGUST: The RedHawks have the best record in the league in August at 19-9 (.679). They have the lowest team ERA in the PCL in August at 2.71.

CLOSE GAMES: Sixty-one of Oklahoma 's 72 wins this season have come by four runs or less, including 31 one-run wins. Also, 50 of Oklahoma's 66 losses this season have come by four runs or less, including 17 by one run.

ONE-RUN WINS: The RedHawks lead the PCL in one-run wins with 33. Tucson is second with 26.

RADIO UPDATE: The flagship station for RedHawk baseball is KEBC 1340 AM. However, due to scheduling conflicts, the RedHawks can sometimes be heard on other stations. The RedHawks will be on AM 1000 KTOK Sept. 1. They will be on KFXY 1640 AM Sept. 3.

BRICKTOWN SHOWDOWN: The Triple-A Championship Game will be played at 6:05 p.m. Sept. 19 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. It will feature the champions of the PCL and IL.

DOT-DOT-DOTS: The RedHawks are 61-43 since Mike Boulanger took over as manager May 11 ... The RedHawks have lost eight of their last 10 series openers ... RedHawk pitchers are tied for first in the PCL in complete games with Nashville at eight ... RedHawk batters are last in the PCL with 94 home runs. New Orleans has 95 ... OF Freddy Guzman leads the league in stolen bases with 39.
