MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Outfielder Stephen Piscotty homered and drove in three to lead the Memphis Redbirds to a 5-4 win over the visiting Colorado Springs Sky Sox in the opener of a four-game series on Monday night at AutoZone Park.

The win ended Memphis' (9-15) three-game losing skid and pushed Colorado Springs (8-16) to the worst record in the league.

In addition to his fourth home run of the season, Piscotty (2-for-4, R) doubled home the Redbirds game-winning run in the seventh, plating Travis Tartamella. Second baseman Greg Garcia also added two hits and an RBI in the victory.

The Sky Sox opened the contest with a run in the top of the first as Matt Long singled and scored on Matt Clark's sacrificed fly.

Memphis answered in the next frame with a three-spot against Sky Sox lefty and former Redbird Nick Additon for a 3-1 lead, beginning with Dean Anna tripling to center and Piscotty homering over the left field wall. Three consecutive two-out singles from Scott Moore (1-for3, 2 R), Ty Kelly (1-for-3, BB), and, and Garcia accounted for the club's third run.

Colorado Springs stormed back with three runs in the next two innings for a 4-3 lead, thanks to a wild pitch and pair of RBI singles.

The Redbirds knotted the contest at 4-4 in the fourth as Moore was hit by a pitch, moved to second on a walk, advanced to third on a single, and scored on a Tartamella sacrifice fly.

In a spot start, Nick Greenwood gave up four runs on eight hits in 3 2/3 innings for a non-decision. Right-hander Kurt Heyer hurled 3 1/3 innings of scoreless ball with two strikeouts for the win. Marcus Hatley ended the game with a scoreless ninth for his first save of the season.

The Redbirds and Sky Sox continue their series at 7:05 pm CT on Monday night at AutoZone Park. Left-hander Tim Cooney (2-1, 3.63) will be on the mound for the Redbirds in his first start since being optioned last week. He will be opposed by Colorado Springs righty Tyler Cravy (1-3, 4.91).
