RENO - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) announced April awards for Reno Aces (@Aces) outfielder Peter O'Brien and right-handed pitcher J.C. Ramirez on Saturday.

O'Brien, 24, was named the organization's Minor League Player of the Month for April. He hit .383 (31-for-81) with 7 doubles, 7 home runs and 20 RBI in the month of April. He was among Minor League leaders in hits (T-1st), homers (T-2nd), slugging percentage (T-3rd, .753), extra-base hits (T-4th, 15), OPS (6th, 1.172) and RBI (T-7th) when the month ended.

Ramirez, 26, was named Reno's Pitcher of the Month for April. In eight April appearances, Ramirez did not allow a run, covering nine innings. He faced 31 batters and allowed only 2 hits and 2 walks while recording 5 strikeouts. Ramirez currently leads all Pacific Coast League relievers in lowest batting average against at .065 (2-for-31) and fewest baserunners per nine innings at 3.60.
