Red Wings Announce Fans Choice for Bobblehead Giveaway

The Rochester Red Wings and ESL Federal Credit Union announced today that infielder/outfielder Garrett Jones won the fan selected Bobblehead giveaway vote. The Garrett Jones Bobblehead giveaway to the first 2,000 fans is slated for Wednesday, August 31st when the Red Wings take on the Pawtucket Red Sox at 7:05p.m.
As part of the Red Wings 15th Anniversary at Frontier Field, the Rochester Red Wings and ESL Federal Credit Union asked you, the FANS, to select a player they would like to see featured on a Bobblehead giveaway.
The fans spoke and infielder/outfielder Garrett Jones won collecting 37% of the vote. Jones beat out infielder P.J. Forbes (21%) and LHP Francisco Liriano (16%) who placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
A future Red Wings Hall of Famer, Jones played for Rochester from 2005-2008 and ranks 7th all-time on Rochester's home run list with 81 home runs. Jones ended his Red Wings career in style when he hit a walk-off homer in the last home game of the 2008 season. The last three years Jones has been a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
