Red Deer Rebels Name Sutter Captain; Re-Call Draper

RED DEER, AB - The Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club announced today that 18-year old forward Brandon Sutter will be the captain of the team for the duration of the season. The Rebels used two different players as captains for the first two months of the year. Sutter wore the 'C' for the team in November; Scott Doucet was the team's captain for October.
Sutter is in his third year with the Red Deer Rebels and he was an Alternate Captain last year. He represented the Western Hockey League Thursday at the ADT Canada/Russia Challenge in Medicine Hat and will be back for practice today.
Additionally, 18-year old forward Jordan Draper has been re-called from the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and will play Saturday as the Rebels host the Prince George Cougars. Draper had started the season with the Rebels, playing 7 games and scoring 1 goal and 0 assists, before being reassigned to Spruce Grove. With the Saints, he's played 13 games, scoring 8 goals and 7 assists for 15 points. Draper will play with the Saints tonight as they host Grande Prairie and join the Rebels Saturday.
