Schenn Is The Fans Choice Again

CALGARY, AB. - For the second time this season and in the month of November, The BOSTON PIZZA 'Fan's Choice' WHL Player of the Week, as voted on by WHL fans, is rookie forward Brayden Schenn of the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Schenn picked up four goals, two assists and was plus four, in the two games during the week of November 19th through to November 25th, helping the Wheat Kings to a 2-0 record in that span.

On Wednesday, November 21st the Brandon Wheat Kings hosted the Medicine Hat Tigers. Schenn picked up two goals, including the game winner, as Brandon went onto defeat the Tigers 5-1. He was also named the games 1st Star.

On Friday, November 23rd, WHL East Division rivals, the Swift Current Broncos, rolled into Westman Place to face the Wheat Kings. Schenn picked up another two goals and added two assists as the Wheat Kings downed the Broncos 7-6. Schenn also netted the game winner and was named the games 1st Star.

Originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Schenn spent last season with the Saskatoon Contacts in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA League. He will be eligible at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
