A member of the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team as a freshman, he was named Second Team All-Atlantic 10 as a sophomore and Third Team All-Atlantic 10 as a senior.

"We were so incredibly fortunate to be able to draft Chris Wright," said Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings. "He will bring energy and passion to the Red Claws, and I think all Crustacean Nation will love to watch him play."

RED CLAWS PICK UP MICHIGAN STATE'S SUMMERS IN SECOND ROUND: The Red Claws selected 6-4, 205 lb. Michigan State guard Durrell Summers with the team's first second round selection. A four-year standout at Michigan State who helped the Spartans to the national title game vs. North Carolina as a sophomore, Summers was projected by the Red Claws to be a first round pick.

"We were ecstatic to get a guy of his quality in the second round," said Red Claws Head Coach Dave Leitao. "He comes from one of the most successful college programs in the country. I think he'll bring a tremendous amount to our team."
