
Red Claws Lock up #1 Overall Seed in Regular Season Finale

DES MOINES, IA - April 4, 2015 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, wrapped up their best regular season ever with a 102-100 win over Iowa Saturday night. The win was Maine's franchise record 35th of the season (35-15). The victory gives Maine the #1 overall seed and home court advantage throughout the NBA D-League Playoffs.
Prior to the completion of the game, Fort Wayne defeated Sioux Falls, meaning that the Mad Ants clinched the #4 seed in the East. Maine and Fort Wayne will meet in the first round of the D-League Playoffs, with Game 1 at Fort Wayne and Games 2 and 3 (if necessary) at Maine.
Romero Osby led the Red Claws with 23 points and 8 rebounds. James Young, on assignment from the Boston Celtics, finished with 19 points, scoring 14 of those in the first quarter.
After opening up a 13 point lead, Iowa went on a 23-1 run to close out the second quarter and go into halftime with a 62-53 lead. Maine out-scored Iowa 25-14 in the third period and held on for the victory.
