RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today the selection of forward Gracyn Sawchyn with the first overall selection in 2020 U.S. Prospects Draft.
Sawchyn, who was born in Edmonton, AB but now resides in Minnesota, played this season with Shattuck St. Mary's Bantam team. He had 32 goals and 51 assists for 83 points in 2019-20. He is not eligible to play full time with the Rebels until the 2021-22 season.
