In lieu of the Portland Winterhawks winning the 2019-20 Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy, the Hawks will spend the spring reviewing some of their most memorable playoff moments over the years. From historic goals to future NHL stars and championship-winning teams, re-live some of Portland's iconic nights in the postseason.

March 25, 2005: The Portland Winterhawks won Game 1 of the best-of-seven series 3-0 over the Everett Silvertips to begin the 2005 WHL Playoffs.

After finishing the regular season second in the U.S. Division with a 35-27-5 record, Portland earned home ice advantage in the opening round of playoffs. Third-year forward Brandon Dubinsky and goaltender Blake Grenier stole the spotlight in Game 1. Grenier turned aside all 20 shots he faced in the home contest; the 14th shutout of his WHL career.

Dubinsky, a second round NHL Draft selection of the New York Rangers, factored in all three goals, recording two goals and assisting a late shorthanded tally. It was the Anchorage, Alaska native's sixth three-point performance of the year and first of the postseason. Since leaving Portland, Dubinsky has played in over 800 NHL games with New York and Columbus.
