Pats Take Michels and Young in the 2020 WHL US Prospects Draft

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have selected centreman Matteo Michels and defenceman Brogan Young in the inaugural WHL US Prospects Draft on Wednesday.

In the first round, 18th overall, the Pats took centreman Matteo Michels from Colleyville, Texas. The 15-year-old played the 2019-20 season with the Dallas Stars Elite 14's, scoring two goals and seven points in five games.

In round two, with the 27th overall selection, Regina picked defenceman Brogan Young from the Coeur D'Alene Hockey Academy. The product of Burbank, Washington put up 11 goals and 33 points in 35 games.

"We are excited to add Matteo and Brogan to our organization," said Pats VP of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Paddock. "Both are good young players with lots of potential and we are happy to get them where we did in the draft."

The Pats have extended the early bird deadline for Season Ticket Renewal until April 30th. Season Ticket holders can renew their tickets online in their My Pats Account or via phone at 306-552-7287.
