Swift Current Broncos News Release

SWIFT CURRENT, SK - To first annual U.S. Prospects Draft was held Wednesday afternoon with each team in the Western Hockey League holding two selections. The Broncos held the ninth and 36th overall picks, selecting Austin Moline (Las Vegas, NV) and Owen Crudale (San Diego, CA).

Moline, a 6'2'' defenceman, played for the Los Angeles Jr. Bantam AAA Kings program in 2019-20, scoring 18 goals and adding 14 assists in 55 games. The 32 points for the right-shot defenceman ranked him first on his team amongst defenseman scoring.

Moline's Jr. Bantam Kings also played in the annual John Reid Bantam tournament held in St. Albert, Alta., finishing with a 2-3 record. Moline scored three goals and one assist in the five games.

With the 36th overall pick, the Broncos stuck with the West Coast and drafted goaltender Owen Crudale from the San Diego Saints U14 Program.

Crudale played in four games at the U.S. Challenge Cup in Kent, WA earlier this season, posting a 2-2 record with a 3.79 goals-against average and one shutout.

The Broncos would like to welcome Austin, Owen and their families to the Broncos organization.
