TRENTON, NJ – The Trenton Titans could not complete the weekend sweep as they fell 2-1 to the Reading Royals in front of 4,874 at Sovereign Bank Arena.

The Titans took the lead with a power play goal from B.J. Abel at 7:04 of the first period.

In the second period, the Royals would battle back to tie it up at 8:46 when John Fransisco beat a screened Andrew Allen through the five-hole for his sixth goal of the season.

Trenton came out with jump to start the final frame, but could not solve Barry Brust, who made 27 saves for the game. Mike Souza would tally the eventual game-winner with 5:28 left in the game on a wrister that again beat a screened Allen.

The Titans goaltender made 22 saves suffering only his second loss in regulation this season.

The Trenton Titans finish up their three-game, three-day set versus the Johnstown Chiefs on Sunday, December 5 at 3:00pm.
