Rattlers announce 2007 opening day roster
February 26, 2007 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Arizona Rattlers News Release
PHOENIX - The Arizona Rattlers announced the team's opening day roster for the 2007 Arena Football League season on Monday. The Rattlers will slither into their Mar. 3 season opener against the Georgia Force with a 22-man active roster. Twenty players are eligible to suit up for action per game.
The active roster features many of the same faces that have made the Rattlers one of Arena Football's premier franchises. However, expect to see strong contributions from the team's newest additions.
"Trandon Harvey (WR), who joined us on a two-day contract, has really impressed me throughout camp," Head Coach Gene Nudo said. "I think Brandon Phillips (OL/DL) has a chance to become an excellent offensive lineman in the Arena League - and quite frankly he's also pretty good on the defensive side of the ball. Also Grant Steen (FB/LB) is a very intelligent football player at the Jack position, having been an outside linebacker in college."
