
Carmen Rasmusen to perform National Anthem

SALT LAKE CITY - The Blaze announced CARMEN RASMUSEN as the performer of the National Anthem during their season opener. The Blaze will take on the New Orleans Voodoo at the EnergySolutions Arena on March 3, 2007 at 7 p.m.
Rasmusen, originally from Alberta, Canada, became one of the final six to compete for the "American Idol" title during the 2003 season. She is currently working on her debut album which will be released later this year.
Rasmusen attended Brigham Young University for one year and currently lives in Utah. She also spends much of her time in Nashville pursuing a career in country music.

The Utah Blaze were winners of the 2006 Commissioner's Award, given to the Arena Football League's Organization of the Year, and the Best Support Staff Award.
