Tampa Bay Storm News Release
TAMPA BAY - The five-time world champion Tampa Bay Storm submitted its 20-man active roster to the League today, Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced. The coaching staff made some tough decisions, highlighted by the release of wide receiver Barry Wagner.
"Barry is a great talent and tremendous person," said Marcum. "We had a competitive training camp, as a team we had some very tough decisions to make. You would like to keep them all, but with the salary cap you can't do that."
The Storm placed eight players on injured reserve on its way to getting down to 20 players. Placed on injured reserve were linemen Thaddeus Bullard, Clint Mitchell, A.J. Ricker and Nyle Wiren. Others joining them on injured reserve include wide receivers Hank Edwards and Huey Whittaker, defensive back Bo Rogers, and quarterback B.J. Symons.
