
Philadelphia Soul announce final roster for 2007

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul announced today they have trimmed the roster down to 27 after the release of DL John Fields and placed Matt Bernstein, Kelvin Chaisson, George Layne, Gabe Nynehuis and Aric Williams on the Injured Reserve.
With the current roster moves, the Soul enter the 2007 season with a 22-man active roster with five players on the Injured Reserve. Those five players will be inactive for four weeks including this week's bye and will not be permitted to perform until Week 4 when the Soul come home for their season opener against the Colorado Crush at the Wachovia Center.
Among those players who have made the 2007 roster are 10 returnees from last season's playoff team, four AFL veterans and eight rookies.
