[Tuesday, May 27, 2008 - OTTAWA, ON] The Ottawa Rapidz and Rogers TV are pleased to announce a broadcast agreement for 2008, the inaugural season for the Rapidz. Rogers TV will televise nine live home games this season. Colin Zappia provides commentary as Brett Jewitt rounds out the broadcast with the play-by-play.
As the league's second Canadian team, the Ottawa Rapidz will welcome teams from Atlantic City, Nashua, Quebec City, Brockton, Sussex, Worcester and New Jersey.
"We're excited to work with Rogers TV to bring the Rapidz games to baseball fans who can't get to the Stadium," said Rick Anderson, President & CEO of Ottawa Rapidz Baseball Club. "It is extremely important to our team and to our fans, that we provide them with any number of ways to catch the games that don't always include a trip to the stadium."
