Quebec 5, New Jersey 2 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

In the first game of a doubleheader, Quebec jumped out to a 3-0 lead and went on to defeat New Jersey by a final score of 5-2. TJ Stanton worked six scoreless innings for the Capitales to earn his first win of the year. Mike Vicaro allowed three earned runs over 4 1/3 innings and was the loser. In the second inning Quebec used two walks, two singles, and a double by RF Michael Goss to score three times. Goss doubled again in the fifth to finish 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.

Quebec 6, New Jersey 0 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

In the second game of a doubleheader, Quebec completed the sweep with a

6-0 victory. Luis Valdez kept New Jersey's hitters guessing for five innings, allowing just one hit and striking out a pair. DH Pat Scalabrini was red hot at the plate going 4-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. RF Michael Goss carried his strong play from game one into game two collecting two more hits and a RBI while crossing the plate twice. Quebec did the job defensively too as they did not commit an error in the combined 14 innings of the doubleheader.

Worcester 5, Nashua 2

Worcester's offense scored five times in the first three innings and their pitching made it stand up as they defeated Nashua 5-2. CF BJ Weed went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple to finish a homerun shy of the cycle. Matt Weagle notched his second win by pitching six innings and allowing just two runs before giving way to Tom Cochran who earned his second save of the season allowing just one hit over the final three innings. Tornadoes 1B Chris Colabello scored twice and drove in two with a 1-for-4 night at the plate. Nashua 2B Ismael Castro and C Aregenis Tavarez each had two hits in the game. The Pride left nine runners on base in the contest.

Atlantic City 5, Ottawa 1

The Atlantic City Surf moved their record to 4-2 with a 5-1 win at home over the Ottawa Rapidz. LF Clyde Williams' triple scored RF Josh Burrus to break a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning. After a groundout 3B Billy Hogan doubled down the left field line to score Williams and give Atlantic City a 3-1 lead. Sparked by doubles from CF Lucas Taylor and SS Anthony Granato they added single runs in the seventh and eighth innings for the final margin of victory. Brian Rodaway evened his record at 1-1 with a seven inning performance in which he scattered five hits. Four Atlantic City batters finished with multiple hits in the game.

Sussex 5, Brockton 3

HR: SUS - Alex Frazier (2), Chris Brown (1)

Sussex ended a three game slide with a 5-3 win at Brockton. Gary Galvez gave the Skyhawks a fine outing going eight innings and striking out four while allowing only two runs to grab his first win of the season. Matt Petrusek came on to work the ninth inning and got the save as Sussex turned a 4-6-3 double play to end the game. LF Alex Frazier and 2B Chris Brown led the Skyhawks attack as Frazier had a three hit night including a double and a homerun. Brown belted a three run homer in the fourth inning, his first of the season, to put Sussex on top 4-0.
