
Caraballo Named Can-Am Batter of the Week

Durham, NC --Worcester Tornadoes OF Francisco Caraballo has been named the Teamline Direct Batter of the Week by PA-Sportsticker, the official statistician of the Can-Am League.
In four games, Caraballo batted .421 (8th in the league) with two home runs (tied for 1st), six RBI (tied for 2nd) and eight hits (tied for 4th). He also scored five runs (tied for 5th), slugged .737 and had an on-base percentage of .450. In Thursday's Opening Night 14-5 victory over the Sussex Skyhawks, Caraballo went 3-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and three RBIs and hit his first home run of the year. Caraballo hit in each of the first four games of the season, notching multi-hit games in three of those contests. The Anaco, VZ native was originally signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Houston Astros in February of 2001.
