Commerce City, Colo. (Sunday, October 27, 2013) - The Colorado Rapids will start their run in the MLS Cup Playoffs this Wednesday, October 30 when the Rapids visit Seattle Sounders FC at 8:30 p.m. MT / 7:30 p.m. PT in the Knockout Match. The game will be broadcast live on Altitude 2, with coverage starting at 8 p.m. MT.

Sunday night's regular season finale for the Rapids, a 3-0 loss at Vancouver Whitecaps FC, combined with the LA Galaxy's 1-1 draw at Seattle, resulted in Colorado finishing 5th in the Western Conference and going on the road for Wednesday's Knockout Match.

Should the Rapids win the Knockout Match, Colorado would host a Western Conference Semifinal game against Portland Timbers FC on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. Tickets are on sale now at 303-825-GOAL or www.ColoradoRapids.com.

The Rapids closed the regular season with the 3-0 loss after a hat-trick from Whitecaps forward Camilo Sanvezzo, whose 22 goals on the season earns him the MLS Golden Boot. In the match, Colorado Homegrown Player Dillon Serna entered in the 77th minute, making his MLS debut. Colorado finished the 2013 regular season with franchise records in wins (14) and points (51) since MLS eliminated shootouts after the 1999 season.
