Houston Dynamo Clinch MLS Cup Playoff Berth and Will Host Eastern Conference Knockout Round

HOUSTON (Monday, Oct. 28, 2013) - The Houston Dynamo have qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs after a 2-1 victory at D.C. United on Sunday. The Dynamo are the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference and will host the Montreal Impact on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. CT in the Eastern Conference Knockout Round at BBVA Compass Stadium. Tickets are available now at www.HoustonDynamo.com, by calling 713-276-GOAL, or by visiting the BBVA Compass Stadium box office (2200 Texas St., Houston) from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Thursday's Knockout Round is a single-game playoff. The winner will advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals to face the New York Red Bulls. Television broadcast for the match is to be determined. Local Spanish radio broadcast will be on La Ranchera 850 AM.

Last season, the Dynamo began their trek to the MLS Cup final with a 2-1 Knockout Round road victory over the Chicago Fire.

If Houston defeats the Impact on Thursday, they will host the first leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 2 or Sunday, Nov. 3.
