NEW YORK, November 26, 2013 - New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has assigned forward J.T. Miller to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Miller, 20, has registered two points (one goal, one assist) in 15 games with the Rangers this season. He recorded his first point of the season with a power play assist on October 31 against Buffalo, and notched his first goal of the season on November 10 against Florida. He returns to Hartford where he has registered four goals and a plus-two rating in three games this season. He led the Wolf Pack and was tied for second in the AHL in goals, and ranked second on the team in points at the time of his recall on October 15. He has tallied at least one goal in each of his three contests in Hartford, including a two-goal performance on October 6 against Albany.
The East Palestine, Ohio native was originally selected by the Rangers as a first round choice, 15th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
