Rampage to wear Spurs jerseys Saturday

SAN ANTONIO – Mar. 2, 2005 – The San Antonio Rampage will make history as the only American Hockey League (AHL) club to wear special NBA jerseys on Saturday, March 5. The Rampage will don hockey jerseys with ONLY the San Antonio Spurs logo as the team hosts the Hartford Wolf Pack at the SBC Center at 7 p.m.

After the game, the Spurs themed jerseys will be auctioned off to the public at the Express-News Headlines in the SBC Center. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Bruce Bowen Foundation, which provides scholarships, tuitions and helps those less fortunate.

Spurs legend George "The Iceman" Gervin will be on hand to sign autographs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and Spurs forward Bruce Bowen will be making a special appearance. Also appearing throughout the game with T-Bone, the Rampage mascot, will be the Spurs Coyote, the Silver Dancers and the SBC Coyote Crew.

In addition to appearances and autographs, fans will have an opportunity to win one of 750 George Gervin bobbleheads that will be raffled away.

Saturday night is an Express-News Value Night. With a coupon from the Express-News, for just $15 fans receive a ticket, hot dog, soda, ice cream, and a Rampage T-shirt.
