Monarchs Reassign James To Bakersfield

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have returned rookie left wing Connor James on loan to the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Wednesday.

James, 22, has appeared in 14 games with Manchester this season, collecting three points (2-1=3) and 10 penalty minutes. The Monarchs most recently recalled James from Bakersfield on January 30. In 36 games with the Condors this season, the 5-foot-9, 183-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, has 32 points (13-19=32) and 26 penalty minutes. James is in his first season of professional hockey after playing four years with the Denver University Pioneers (NCAA). In 160 career games with the Pioneers, he recorded 150 points (57-93=150) and 60 penalty minutes.

The Monarchs travel to Hartford to face-off with the Wolf Pack on Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. After that, they return home to host the Providence Bruins on Sunday, March 6 at 4:05 p.m.

New Hampshire Legends Of Hockey - Pay tribute to the newest members of the New Hampshire Legends of Hockey when the Monarchs host the Providence Bruins on Sunday, March 6 at 4:05 p.m. The Monarchs will wear commemorative UNH jerseys for the game. The jerseys will then be auctioned off after the game with proceeds benefiting the Legends of Hockey, an organization that honors men and women who have contributed greatly to the sport of ice hockey in the state.

The newest class of inductees will be honored at a luncheon, scheduled for 12:00 p.m. at the Wayfarer Inn, and then introduced during an on-ice ceremony at the Verizon Wireless Arena prior to the Monarchs game with the Bruins. Ticket Availability: Single seats in the Gold Level and 550 seats in the Silver level remain for Sunday's game against the Bruins.
