Bruins' Hilbert earns CCM AHL Milestone of the Month
March 2, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League has named Providence Bruins left wing Andy Hilbert as the recipient of the CCM AHL Milestone of the Month award for February.
On Feb. 4, Hilbert recorded three assists in a 3-0 win over Hartford at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, becoming the all-time leading scorer in Providence Bruins franchise history. His second assist that night was his 187th point in a P-Bruins uniform, surpassing the mark of 186 points established by Sergei Zholtok from 1992-95.
Hilbert, who began the season tied for 11th place on the Bruins' all-time scoring list, is now the club's all-time leader in points (195) and goals (94), and his 101 assists are three shy of the franchise record shared by Brandon Smith and Andre Savage. Hilbert is currently tied for fourth in the AHL with 64 points and tied for second with 30 goals in 60 games with Providence this season.
A native of Howell, Mich., the 24-year-old Hilbert, a second-round pick by the Boston Bruins in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, recently played in his third AHL All-Star Classic.
In recognition of the CCM AHL Milestone of the Month, Hilbert will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Bruins home game.
