Rampage Sign Evan Barlow to AHL Contract

SAN ANTONIO (January 20, 2012) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed left wing Evan Barlow to an AHL contract.

Barlow, 26, has tallied six goals and 10 assists in 25 games with the Rampage season after signing a professional try-out on Nov. 17, 2011. He has recorded seven goals and 13 assists in 33 career AHL games between Abbotsford (2009-10) and San Antonio (2011-12).

The Strathmore, Alberta native has posted 59 goals and 89 assists in 110 career ECHL games with Idaho (2009-11) and Elmira (2011-12). He totaled 10 goals and 15 assists in 24 playoff games with Idaho during his two years with the team.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound forward attended Cornell University (ECAC) where he registered 28 goals and 33 assists in 126 games with the Big Red (2005-09).

The Rampage will attempt to set a world record for most dogs at a sporting event at their fifth annual Pucks & Paws game this Saturday at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Tickets for you and your dog are $20 and $5 from each dog ticket will be donated to Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW). Adoption Stations will be stationed along the concourse where fans will have the chance to help find a forever home for a four-legged friend.
