Crunch Announce Roster Moves

Syracuse, NY (January 20, 2012) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have reassigned left wing Josh Brittain to the Elmira Jackals (ECHL). Additionally the Crunch have loaned defenseman Nick Schaus to Elmira.

Brittain, 22, has appeared in three games with the Jackals this season posting one goal and two penalty minutes. Brittain has played in 14 games with the Crunch this season and recorded one assist and six penalty minutes. The, Milton, Ontario native has played in 27 career AHL games totaling two points (both assists) and 54 penalty minutes.

Schaus, 25, has appeared in three games with the Jackals this season tallying one assist. Schaus has played in 20 games with the Crunch this season recording four points (1g, 3a). The Orchard Park, NY native, has appeared in 101 career AHL games totaling 25 points (5g, 20a). The defenseman also played in 148 NCAA games for the University of Massachusetts-Lowell collecting 65 points (10g, 55a).

The Crunch return home after a seven-game road trip to host the Norfolk Admirals on January 20, 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial Arena.
