San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 23, 2014) - The San Antonio Rampage (12-6-0-0) extended their winning streak to seven games with a 3-0 shutout of the Texas Stars in front of a crowd of 4,375 at the AT&T Center on Sunday afternoon. The Rampage improve to 10-0-0-0 against the West Division, and the win marks the first time the Silver and Black have defeated the Stars three consecutive times. San Antonio's seven-game win streak ties a franchise record previously reached in Jan. 2012.
Connor Brickley and Mark Mancari each tallied a goal and an assist in the win, and Dan Ellis recorded his 28th pro shutout, finishing with 32 saves.
For the 12th time this season, the Rampage got on the board first, as Mancari scored his third of the season, tipping a pass from Brickley past Stars goalie Jack Campbell. The Rampage kicked off the scoring to start the second stanza, tallying their eighth power-play goal in the last five games. Alex Petrovic shot a cannon from the point, and Brickley was there to punch it in, giving San Antonio a 2-0 lead less than two minutes into the frame.
Drew Shore gave the Rampage an insurance goal with an empty-netter from long range at 17:38 to secure a 3-0 win.
