San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage were shutout 2-0 by the Oklahoma City Barons in front of a season-high crowd of 9,920 fans at the AT&T Center on Saturday night. The Rampage claim a 25-16-1-0 record good for 51 points.

After a scoreless 43 minutes of hockey, the Barons jumped onto the scoreboard in the third period to claim a 1-0 lead when right wing Ben Ondrus snapped a shot from the slot that bounced off Rampage goaltender Matt Climie's leg padding and into the lower right corner of the net.

San Antonio head coach Ray Edwards pulled Climie with 50 seconds remaining in the contest, however, Oklahoma City took advantage of the empty net as left wing Alexandre Giroux scored to finalize the Barons victory at 2-0.

Barons netminder Martin Gerber posted his third shutout of the season with 18 saves while Climie stopped 24 pucks on 25 Barons shot attempts.

The Rampage embark on a five-game road stint with their first stop in Chicago on Sunday afternoon to face the Wolves at Allstate Arena at 4 p.m.
