SAN ANTONIO – Jan. 19, 2004 – San Antonio Rampage General Manager Bobby Jay announced today that the Florida Panthers recalled left wing Eric Beaudoin from the American Hockey League club. In addition, the Rampage also announced that defenseman Paul Elliott was recalled from the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL, center Mark Smith was released from his professional try-out (PTO), and center Brent Cullaton was reassigned to the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League.

Beaudoin, 23, joins the Panthers for the first time this season and is expected to play tonight against the St. Louis Blues. The Ottawa, Ontario native who was named to the Canadian roster for the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic on Feb. 9, leads the Rampage in goals (20), assists (22), points (42) and plus/minus rating (+15) while playing in all 38 games. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound forward ranks sixth (tied) among AHL scoring leaders.

Elliott, 23, has played 22 games with the Rampage recording one point (assist) before being assigned to Augusta on Jan. 1. The 6-foot-1, 216-pound defenseman recorded 1-3-4 totals in 10 games with the Lynx.

Smith, 25, appeared in two games with San Antonio registering one point (assist) after signing a PTO on Jan. 12. Smith will return to the Alaska Aces (ECHL) where he has scored 14 goals and 34 points in 34 games with the Aces this season.

Cullaton, 29, recorded four points in three games with the Rampage. The 6-foot, 220-pound forward scored an unassisted goal in his first game with the Rampage on Jan. 15 against Utah and tallied three assists the following game at Houston on Jan. 17. The Cambridge, Ontario native is Laredo's Laredo and the CHL's Player of the Month for December. Cullaton is also scheduled to start for the Southern Conference in the 2004 Dodge CHL All-Star game.
