Chris Lynch Released From PTO

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the release of Chris Lynch from a professional tryout contract. Lynch signed with the Sound Tigers Friday and played in two road games this past weekend.

Lynch will travel to Peoria, Illinois where he will play for the Eastern Conference All-Star Team in this week's ECHL All-Star Game. He will then rejoin that league's Greenville Grrrowl with whom he had 20 goals, a team-lead-tying 19 assists, 39 points and 77 penalty minutes in 36 games before he signed with the Sound Tigers.

The Sound Tigers will finish a stretch of six straight road games when they visit the Albany River Rats this Thursday and the Philadelphia Phantoms this Friday. Thursday's game will be played at the Continental Airlines Arena in the New Jersey Meadowlands; which is the home of Albany's NHL affiliate, the New Jersey Devils. The Sound Tigers' next home game will be this Saturday when they host the River Rats at 7:05 p.m. All three of this week's games will be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. each night.

Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
