--The Wolves tallied three goals in the first period en route to a 5-2 victory against the Houston Aeros at the Allstate Arena

--Centers BRENDAN YAREMA (2G, A) and DEREK MacKENZIE (3A) each notched a season-high three points

--Left wing STEVE MALTAIS tallied two power-play goals

--Center BRIAN MALONEY added a goal and an assist

--Goaltender FREDERIC CASSIVI notched 34 saves in the win

Sat., Jan. 17 (at) Chicago 5, Manitoba 1

--The Wolves matched a season-high five goals, including a season-high three power-play goals, in a 5-1 victory against the Manitoba Moose at the Allstate Arena

--Center BRIAN SWANSON matched a season-high four points (G, 3A)

--Right wing STEPHEN BABY registered a professional career-high four points (G, 3A)

--Left wing ERIC HEALEY recorded two power-play goals

--Goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT notched 19 saves

Fri., Jan. 16 (at) Grand Rapids 4, Chicago 3 (OT)

--After matching the Grand Rapids Griffins goal-for-goal, the Wolves lost, 4-3, in overtime at Van Andel Arena

--Defenseman KURTIS FOSTER and left wing ERIC HEALEY each posted a power-play goal and center BRIAN SWANSON added an even-strength tally

--Netminder FREDERIC CASSIVI recorded 28 saves in the game

Wed., Jan. 14 (at) Chicago 3, St. John's 3 (OT)

--The Wolves surrendered a 3-1 lead in the third period to tie the St. John¹s Maple Leafs, 3-3, at the Allstate Arena

--Goaltender KARI LEHTONEN turned aside 33 of 34 shots before being replaced by FREDERIC CASSIVI after two periods; CASSIVI posted 14 saves, which includes four in overtime

--Center KAMIL PIROS notched a season-high two goals

--Left wing ERIC HEALEY also scored for Chicago

--BRIAN SWANSON: Posted six points (2G, 4A) in three games last week ... Matched a team season-high four points (G, 3A) on Saturday against Manitoba, his second four-point effort of the season ... Ranks fourth on the team with 17 assists and ranks third on the club with 27 points in 42 games

STEPHEN BABY: Notched five points (G, 4A) in three games last week, which includes a season-high four points (G, 3A) against Manitoba on Saturday ... Tallied four goals, seven assists and 11 points in 32 games in his rookie campaign with the Wolves this year

BRENDAN YAREMA: Notched a season-high two goals, three points and a +3 plus/minus rating on Sunday against Houston ... Posted four points (2G, 2A) last week ... Ranks sixth on the team with eight goals

ERIC HEALEY: Registered four goals and an assist in four games last week, which includes matching a season-high two points on Friday and Saturday ... Paces the AHL with a .250 shooting percentage (17 goals on 68 shots) ... Leads the Wolves with 17 goals and shares the team-lead with seven power-play markers ... Ranks second on the team with 30 points

KURTIS FOSTER: Recorded a point in each of the four games last week (2G, 2A) ... Paces AHL defensemen and shares fourth in the AHL and first on the Wolves with seven power-play goals ... Paces AHL blueliners with nine goals ... Tied for 15th among league defenseman and ranks second among team blueliners with 19 points (9G, 10A)

STEVE MALTAIS: Matched a season-high two goals against Houston on Sunday ... Shares fourth in the AHL with seven power-play goals ... Paces the team with 32 points, ranks second on the club with 14 goals and shares second with 18 assists

MICHAEL GARNETT: Notched his first AHL win in his first AHL start on Saturday ... Tied for third in the ECHL with 18 wins and ranks fifth in the league with a 2.27 goals-against average ... Named to the ECHL Western Conference All-Star Team

WOLF TRACKS

--After going 2-0-1-0 last week, the Wolves are unbeaten in nine of their last 10 home games (8-1-1-0).

--Overall, Chicago leads the West Division and ranks third in the Western Conference with 13 home wins this season.

--The Wolves have recorded at least three goals in a game in each of their last 10 games, which includes at least four in six of those contests; Chicago is 15-1-0-1 when scoring at least four goals in a game this season.

--Overall, Chicago ranks fourth in the AHL in scoring with an average of 2.91 goals per game this season.

--After playing 10 games in 17 days, the Wolves will play just four contests in the next 16 days.

POWER SWITCH

The Wolves have recorded nine power-play goals in the last five games after notching just two in the previous six contests; Chicago¹s 38 man-advantage tallies this season are the second-most in the league.

NOTABLE

The Chicago Wolves will host their 10th Annual Season Ticket Holder Party at Gameworks in Schaumburg on Tue., Jan. 20, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The event allows the Wolves team and staff to show their appreciation for the continued support of the season ticket holders, and provides a chance for the players to interact with the fans and sign autographs.
