West Sacramento, Calif. - The visiting Tacoma Rainiers snapped a four-game River Cats winning streak with a 10-inning, 2-1 victory on Wednesday afternoon at Raley Field.

Despite falling behind by one run in every game of their four-game winning streak, the River Cats were the first to score this time around. Outfielder Michael Taylor sent a solo shot over the left field wall in the bottom of the second inning, giving his team the early 1-0 advantage.

River Cats right-handed pitcher Brad Peacock had a shutout entering the seventh inning, but allowed back-to-back singles to Chih-Hsien Chiang and Luis Rodriguez, in the seventh, setting the table for catcher Brandon Bantz. With Bantz at the plate, Peacock threw a wild pitch, allowing Chiang to score the tying run.

The game remained tied until the 10th, when Cats reliever Jim Miller surrendered a leadoff double to Rodriguez. Bantz sacrificed Rodriguez to third, before Trayvon Robinson drove in the eventual game-winning run on a sacrifice fly to right-center field.

Peacock took a hard-luck no decision, giving up just one earned run in seven innings, striking out three. Merkin Valdez threw two scoreless innings in relief of Peacock, before Miller entered the game in the 10th.

Tacoma starter Forrest Snow matched Peacock throughout the afternoon, allowing one earned run of his own. Sean Henn picked up his first win in relief of Snow, and Josh Kinney earned the save with a scoreless 10th frame.

The two teams return to Raley Field Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. for the season's first Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday, with $2 beers available throughout the game. River Cats lefty Fabio Castro (1-0, 3.00 ERA) is slated to start against Rainiers lefty Anthony Vasquez (2-0, 1.38 ERA).
