SL1 Chattanooga Lookouts

Rain and Runs Share the Highlight in Win

June 7, 2019 - Southern League (SL1)
Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

The Lookouts used early runs and middle inning runs in their 7-1 win last night at Smokies Stadium. Calten Daal drove in the first run in the second inning then scored on the same play with throwing errors by the Smokies. Lefty Scott Moss threw shutout baseball for four innings when the Smokies scored in the fifth. Lookouts bats showered runs on the Smokies starter with three runs as Daal tripled in two of them. TJ Friedal blasted a solo homer in the seventh and that opened the clouds as the rain took over. A miscue with the tarp crew didn't help the Smokies cause and the game was called shortly thereafter with a flooded infield. In game two Saturday the Lookouts go to the mound with RHP-Tejay Antone(7-3,2.83) while the Smokies counter with RHP-Tyson Miller(3-3,3.26) Hear the game on 98.1 The Lake and at MiLB.com beginning at 6:45 EDT.
