RailCats Series Finale Washed Out

June 12, 2013 - American Association (AA)
Gary SouthShore Railcats News Release

GARY, Ind. - The rubber match of the RailCats' three-game series with the Quebec Capitales was canceled due to rain and unplayable field conditions on Wednesday night and will not be rescheduled. Fans holding tickets to Wednesday's game can exchange them for tickets to any remaining RailCats home game this season.

The two-game series was a split, with the RailCats taking game one 5-1 on Monday behind six strong innings from Morgan Coombs. Quebec took Tuesday's contest as Bryan Rembisz held the RailCats to a run in 8 1/3 innings.

The rainout concludes the RailCats homestand. The team will have an off day on Thursday and travel to Fargo, North Dakota to begin a six-game road trip on Friday at the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:02 p.m. and fans can listen to the broadcast on 89.1 FM The Lakeshore and www.railcatsbaseball.com.
