Winnipeg 4, Wichita 3

A capacity crowd of 7,833 at Shaw Park was treated to a tight ballgame and a walk-off win for the Goldeyes. Winnipeg entered the bottom of the ninth tied at 3-3 with Wichita, but the Goldeyes loaded the bases with one out. Nick Liles singled and was held up at third on a Nate Sampson double. After a walk to Tyler Graham filled up the bases, Amos Ramon (pictured) hit a fly ball to right field. Wichita's David Amberson made the catch, but Liles tagged up from third and scored to give Winnipeg a 4-3 walk-off win.

Grand Prairie 5, Laredo 2

Newcomer Brandon Bargas did not waste time impressing the Grand Prairie faithful. The rookie left-hander pitched 7.2 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits to beat Laredo, 5-2. Bargas fanned four Lemurs in his professional debut and walked just one to earn the win. AirHogs RHP Patrick Mincey gave up a double to lead off the ninth, but retired the next three batters to pick up his fourth save.

Grand Prairie did most of its offensive damage in the fifth. Brandon Pinckney led off the inning with a homer and Ryan Pineda hit a three run shot later in the frame. Pineda led the AirHogs in production with three RBI, while five Grand Prairie batters had multi-hit games. In fact, all four men at the top of the order had multiple hits, including Brian Myrow and Andres Rodriguez, who each had three knocks.

Sioux Falls 4, Lincoln 1

Sioux Falls has a lot to thank Jake Taylor for after a 4-1 win over Lincoln. The Canaries catcher scored the game-tying run, drove in the eventual winning run and provided insurance with an eighth-inning solo home run. In the fourth inning, with Sioux Falls trailing by one run, Taylor hit a one-out single and used his legs to get into scoring position. He stole second, then tagged up on a fly ball to center field to advance to third. Canaries 3B Jared Clark doubled Taylor home with two outs to tie the game. In the sixth, Nick Van Stratten tripled and Taylor hit a sacrifice fly to right field to give Sioux Falls the lead. Taylor's eighth-inning home run capped a 2-for-3 afternoon with two RBI. He accounted for three of the Canaries' four runs..
